Brief history
Our church is related to a stream of churches that were eager to recover the vitality of First- Century Christianity. Most of its earliest leaders were from the United Kingdom. They were members of Anglican, Quaker, and Baptist in their origins. They were simply called “the brethren” or “Christian Brethren” because of their resistance to formal organization. PCCOG, as a community church come, were founded by different families of African descendants who found themselves in Canada, speaking a different African language and having kept the faith of origin as their fore leaders, started gathering to worship God and pray for one another in this new land they located to. As many families joined the group, under the lead of Faustin Kibukila, they received a vision and mission to implant a faith-based community, which the named community Pentecostal church of Ottawa and Gatineau in Ottawa where members were from Ottawa and Gatineau.
Vision
Our vision is to reach communities with the message of love, hope and to lead people into life-changing encounters with Jesus Christ. Acts 4:31, Romans 13:8-33. This vision is accomplished through Celebratory worship, Pastoral visits, praying for one another, relevant music events, Reaching the word of God, outreach, small groups meeting, discipleship programs, choir advancement through individual advancement performance, prayer focus, etc.
Mission
Our mission is to train, equip, and mobilize believers in Crist for the ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit and keeping Faith within the mosaic of culture. This by living a life of the Word of God, Prayer and Fasting, testimony, praise and Worship, Tithe and Offering, Holy communion, etc.
The PCCOG exists with the purpose to lead people to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and helping them to grow to spiritual maturity, so they are equipped for effective ministry in God’s Kingdom.

Evangelism
“Welcome to the CEPOG-PCCOG website. I am glad you have chosen to spend a few moments looking around, discovering our church family. As I describe CEPOG to people, I use words like ‘community’ and ‘family.’
We are a group of people committed to following Jesus. That means we worship him with vigor and joy. That means we encourage prayer in church and throughout life. That means we love people outside the church through generosity, invitation, and compassion.
Our hope is that all people will feel loved and welcomed at CEPOG. And once here, we pray that people will meet God and as a result of meeting God, give their lives to Jesus Christ. We want that for you. Come as you are. Check us out, but more importantly, seek the truth of God that can only be known when one knows Jesus.
While you are browsing our website, you will learn about our programs and get a glimpse of who we are, but only a glimpse. To fully understand us, come to a worship service or to a small group and feel the up-close, in-person fellowship that comes when people share time together with the Holy Spirit present. Enjoy the website, then come. We’d love to meet you and know you.”
