This is My Story

I’m Pastor Akilimali Faustin, a man deeply rooted in faith and committed to serving others through the transformative power of Christ.

Originally hailing from Goma, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, my journey in ministry began at a young age. After completing my foundational biblical studies in my homeland, I embarked on a path of theological exploration, eventually earning a degree in health sciences from the esteemed University of Ottawa, Canada.

Throughout my life, I’ve worn many hats within the church community – from leading worship as a choir director, spreading the Gospel as an evangelist, nurturing the next generation as a youth leader, to serving diligently as a deacon. In 2002, I was humbled to be ordained as a pastor, marking a significant milestone in my spiritual journey.

In 2007, I took a leap of faith and founded the Pentecostal Community Church in Ottawa/Gatineau (CEPOG), a vibrant congregation that continues to thrive under God’s grace. Through dedication and unwavering commitment, we built a place of worship that stands as a beacon of hope and love for all who seek solace in His embrace.

My calling extends beyond borders, as I’ve been privileged to lead Christ My Lord Ministry in Kangemi, Nairobi, Kenya, since 2004. Despite facing political exile, my family and I found a new home in Canada in 2005, where we’ve been blessed to connect with a diverse community of believers from various backgrounds and cultures.

Here in Canada, I’m more than just a pastor – I’m a friend, a mentor, and a steadfast companion on life’s journey. With a heart overflowing with love and compassion, I strive to uplift and empower those around me, offering spiritual guidance and support to all who seek it.

As I continue to walk in faith, I’m deeply grateful for the opportunities to collaborate with fellow servants of God and partner with like-minded organizations in advancing His kingdom. Together, we’re spreading His message of love, hope, and redemption, one soul at a time.
